Agriculture Infrastructure Fund

Start date/duration: July 202 for 10 Years duration 

Purpose:     provision of long/medium term debt to farmers throughout the country for investment in viable projects

Ministry involved:  ministry of Agri ad farmers welfare

Beneficiaries:  Farmers, self Help Groups (SHG), start ups, Agri-entrepreneur, Agricultureal Produce market committee (APMC), Food producer org(FPO) etc

Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund

Start date/duration: Maximum 08 years, including 02 years of moratorium

Purpose:  Help increasing milk and meat producing capacity as well as greater access for the unorganized producers to join hand in main market of milk and meat, in turn generate high profit for the producers and aid in country export of milk and meat.

Ministry involved:    Department of Animal husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises

Beneficiaries:  Farmer producer Organisations (FPO), MSME sector, Farrmers and Entrepreneurs

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

Start date/duration: Feb 2016

Purpose :   Scheme to provide financial support  and  safeguard farmers from financial loss incurred due to natural calamities

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Agri ad farmers welfare

Beneficiaries:  Farmers growing notified crops, Other related crop insurance schemes are : Weather based Crop Insurance Scheme (WBCIS), Coconut Palm insurance scheme (CPIS),  Pilot Unified Package insurance scheme UPIS) etc.

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana(PMMSY)

 

Start date/duration: Sep 2020 for 5 (five) years from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25

Purpose :  To enhance quality fish production  and productivity by development of infrastructure and post harvest management  and minimize the gap for requirement ,  regulation and management of the same through integration of technology in the process.

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying

Beneficiaries: Fishers, Fish farmers, SHG, JLG in fisheries sector, Fish cooperatives/federations etc

 

Interest subvention for dairy sector

Start date/duration: 2020-21 to 2025-26

Purpose : To minimize the effect of Covid- 19 on Dairy sector  Interest subvention will be given on working capital loan.

Ministry involved: Ministry of Fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying

Beneficiaries: Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer, Milk union, milk producing companies

 

Kishan Credit card for animal husbandry and fisheries

Start date/duration: year 1998

Purpose : To provide financial credit  support under single window to Animal husbandry and fish farmers.

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare  and NABARD

Beneficiaries: Farmers, Dairy/Poultry farmers, Fishers, Fish Farmers, SHGs, JLGs

 

Krishi UDAN scheme

Start date/duration: Aug 2020

Purpose:  Provides the facility and incentives for movements of Agricultural produce by Air transportation.

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Commerce and industries, Ministry of civil aviation, and AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Limited (AAICLAS)

Beneficiaries:  Farmers cooperatives/federations, SHGs, JLGs. Individual entrepreneurs etc

Mission Amrit Sarovar

Start date/duration: Apr 2022

Purpose:  Development and repair of 75 water bodies in each district of the country as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Ministry involved:  Central govt.

Beneficiaries:  Village panchayats and districts will develop the water bodies benefiting fishery and duckery, water tourism and social gathering of local people.

National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM)

Start date/duration: 2019-20

Purpose:   promotes and pave the way for development of scientific beekeeping and to achieve the goal of Sweet Revolution.

 

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare

Beneficiaries:   Individual farmers ,  Societies/Companies, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs),  Beekeepers Interested Groups (BIGs) etc.

 

 

National Mission on Edible Oils-palm oil

Start date/duration: 2014

Purpose:    Focus on increasing area and domestic production of oilseeds and Oil Palm in North east region and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare

Beneficiaries:   oil palm farmers

National Mission on Natural Farming

Start date/duration:  2023-2026

Purpose:    To motivate farmers to adopt chemical free farming techniques  and move towards way of natural farming.

Ministry involved:  Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,

Beneficiaries:   incentives are given for production of manure, training will be given to the farmers, farmer production organizations.

PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana

Start date/duration:  Sep 2019

Purpose:    To provide financial help of 3000 social security to small and marginal farmers in their old age to take care of their expenses

Ministry involved:  Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,

Beneficiaries:   small and marginal farmers age of minimum 60 years

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi

Start date/duration:  Feb 2019

Purpose:     To provide financial support to landholding farmers in the country who are in need for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities.

Ministry involved:  Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,

Beneficiaries:   land holding eligible farmer

Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana

Start date/duration:  July 2015

Purpose:   With aim of  ‘Har Khet to Pani’ the scheme is about to provide facility of irrigation in order to increase the farm produce and improve the water use efficiency by the farmers.

Ministry involved:  Jal shakti Mantralaya, ministry of rural development, ministry of agriculture

Beneficiaries:   Farmers of the country

Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)

Start date/duration:  Feb 2023

Purpose:    Provide the farmer with required forward and backward linkages to market their farm produce by increasing their income and also provide credit facilities and other services at village level itself.

Ministry involved:  Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Cooperation, Ministry of Fisheries, NABARD, National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and National Fishery Development Board (NFDB).

Beneficiaries:  Farmers and societies at Panchayat, viable dairy cooperatives, fishery cooperatives   .

Unique package for farmers

Start date/duration:  Jun 2023

Purpose:  focused at overall wellbeing and economic betterment of farmers with aim of  promoting sustainable agriculture. It will enhance boost farmers’ income, strengthen organic farming, enhance soil productivity, ensuring  food security of the country  .

Ministry involved:  Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA)

Beneficiaries: All agricultural farmer  of the country

 

Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP)

Start date/duration:  Feb 2023 (2022-23 to 2025-26)

Purpose:   Provide funds for development of infrastructure and creation of livelihood opportunities in 19 Districts and 46 Border blocks 4 states and 1 UT along the northern land border of the country

Ministry involved:  Home Ministry and Ministry of Cooperation

Beneficiaries:   community based organisations, Cooperatives, SHGs, NGOs etc
